Unfortunately, plagiarism checkers cannot scan handwritten content—they work with digital text. To check handwritten work, it must first be converted into digital form by either typing it or using an OCR (optical character recognition) tool that turns a photograph or scan of the handwritten work into digital text.
The digital work can then be processed by the plagiarism checker just like any other text. However, since OCR has varying levels of accuracy, it is always wise to check the digital text for correctness before using it in a plagiarism checker. Learn how checkers process text in our guide on what is a plagiarism test. Quetext’s Plagiarism Checker accepts pasted text and .docx or .txt file uploads.
