What is Quetext URL Check?

URL Check lets you scan a live web page for plagiarism and AI-generated content just by entering its link. Quetext pulls the text from the page and gives you the same detailed report you get when you paste text in, with a plagiarism score, an AI score, highlighted matches and links to every source.

Can I check multiple URLs at once?

Yes. Switch to Bulk URLs and paste your links one per line, up to 50 per batch. Quetext checks every page in the batch, shows live progress (succeeded, in progress, waiting, failed and skipped) and lists each page's word count, plagiarism score and AI score side by side. Open any row for the full report.

What does "Exclude header & footer" do?

It tells Quetext to skip the parts of a page that repeat across the whole site, such as menus, navigation bars, sign-up boxes and footer links, and check only the main content. Without it, that shared boilerplate can show up as matched text and inflate your score. With it on, your results reflect the writing on the page, not the site template.

Does URL Check detect AI-generated content too?

Yes. Every URL report includes Quetext's AI detection alongside the plagiarism check, so you get a plagiarism score, an AI score and a verdict on whether the page reads as human, mixed or AI-written, all from one scan.

Which plans include URL Check?

URL Check is available on all Quetext plans.

Can I check pages that require a login?

No. URL Check can only read pages that are publicly accessible, so pages behind a login, paywall or private network can't be fetched. To check that content, copy the text and paste it straight into the Quetext checker. You'll get the same full report.

Why did some URLs fail or get skipped?

A URL can fail if the page is offline, blocks automated access or doesn't load in time. It can be skipped if it's a duplicate or not a valid web page. Check that the link opens in a normal browser window, then try again, or paste the page text directly into Quetext.
